FITCE Anniversaries in 2021

Vienna, 1st  of Oct 2021

60th Anniversary FITCE EU

In 1961 the CEO’s of 3 incumbent telecommunication operators in Europe –Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and France – felt collaboration to a certain level and exchanging experiences among high level engineers was becoming key in an ever changing telecom world.  It took them a few meetings to decide to establish the European FITCE Association. Within a year it became an international not-for-profit Federation of National Associations from Belgium, Luxembourg, France, The Netherlands, Germany, and Italy. By

1981 its membership had grown to include Ireland, United Kingdom, Spain, and Greece. Subsequently FITCE gained National Associations from Portugal, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Bulgaria, and Romania.
